Tango 'A Yellow Hat'タンゴ(黄色い帽子)
Solo piece by Kazuo Ohno. As far as we know, it premiered at the First Kazuo Ohno Modern Dance Recital, which took place on 27 November 1949. According a review in Tokyo Shimbun, this piece had a 'fresh originality that is beyond the norm'. Critic Tatsuo Nagata, who described this work as a 'tango' along with 2 other works, praised it for its uniqueness in the Shinyukan newspaper.
It was also performed at the Third Kazuo Ohno Modern Dance Recital in 1951, where the title A Yellow Hat was found in the programme.
