An Invitation To Jesus | Church of St. Fiacre

For Kazuo Ohno, a church is "the place which comforts my pain and suffering and a mother's womb to nurture belief".

Kazuo brought his poem Invitation To Jesus with him and visited the Father at the Church of St. Fiacre. He confessed that he wanted to contribute his body and butoh to God and the church which the Father accepted.

On the day of the offering, Kazuo Ohno had a press conference at 1:00 p.m. and would perform A Table at midnight. In between An Invitation To Jesus was performed from 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. When Kazuo was in front of the entrance of the church with a flower in his hand, it was still bright outside and the faithful awaited him inside (Reference: Miyabi Ichikawa's Believers Who Shed Tears in Asahi Graph no.2984 and Reiko Sawa's Kazuo Ohno Who Returned To Europe in Dance Work vol.28.)

Kazuo Ohno saw himself as Judas Iscariot, and remembered the moment of his entering church as this: I entered the church believing Jesus has prepared an empty seat for Judas Iscariot.

A blind organist Madme Hervo (note: the correct spelling of her name is unknown. Miyabi Ichikawa reported it was Madamu Erubo in Japanese.) played the pipe organ.
