Second Kazuo Ohno Modern Dance Recital | Kyoritsu Kodo Hall

Kazuo Ohno's second recital, which was held in 1950 at Kyoritsu Kodo in Kanda, Tokyo, the same venue as the first recital. Students from the Kazuo Ohno Dance Studio performed group pieces in Parts One and Three, with Kazuo Ohno performing five solo pieces during Part Two. As in his first recital, Kazuo danced a Tango as well as a modified version of The Devil's Cry. His other solos were new, including one inspired by a Hermann Hesse poem.
Tokyo Shimbun newspaper described his dance as having more a "sense of calm and stability, both in the work and in his dancing style" than in the first recital.
