Third in a trilogy of 16mm films made by documentary filmmaker Chiaki Nagano and Kazuo Ohno. ‘Mr O’ refers to Kazuo Ohno. Filming for this film began in 1973, and was completed in 1976. Running at 88mins, it is the only colour film in the Mr. O trilogy. Several of Kazuo Ohno’s students appear in the film, including Tomiko Takai and Mitsuyo Uesugi. It was filmed at Lake Shikotsu in Hokkaido, Aizuwakamatsu, the Oyama Afuri Shrine in Kanagawa and Yokodai Pig Farm in Yokohama.
