A group piece presented at the Kazuo Ohno's Modern Dance Group Recital held in November 1953.
Presented at the Kazuo Ohno's Modern Dance Group Recital in November 1953, this piece features nine performers in addition to Kazuo Ohno. A document (PNT62 in this archive) presumed to have been distributed at the time, titled “Explanatory Notes,” includes the remark: “I attempted to depict my own path. It also came to be considered as one possible direction for solo work…” A stage review in the Tokyo Shimbun (November 26, 1953) described the piece as “a fine work that most fully expresses his distinctive qualities” and noted that the music included harmonica and ocarina.
In December 1953, the Kazuo Ohno Dance Group performed "Random Thoughts, " for an NHK television program "Modern Ballet" in the 12:30 p.m. time slot. However, details such as the cast of this broadcast remain unknown.
