Emptiness | The Red House空（くう）｜レッド・ハウス
In the year marking the 50th anniversary of the founding of Butoh, the Japan–Danube Exchange Year program “The Power of Age: Tradition and Contemporaneity in Butoh” was held in Bulgaria and Hungary. At the Red House in Bulgaria, events included Butoh performances by Yoshito Ohno and Tomiko Takai, a workshop by Yoshito Ohno, and film screenings. Yoshito Ohno performed “Kuu” (Emptiness), while Tomiko Takai presented “Metaphysical Emotion” in shortened versions of approximately thirty minutes each.
Because the piece was shortened, the screening of “Sehnsucht” and the dance with a puppet modeled after Kazuo Ohno were omitted.
