At Asia Tri Yogyakarta 2008, held to commemorate the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Japan and Indonesia, performances exploring the theme of ’tradition and contemporaneity’ were presented, including Butoh and Kamigata-mai dance. Yoshito Ohno performed “Kuu” (Emptiness). Other participants included Yukio Waguri, Tomiko Takai, Keiin Yoshimura, Saga Kobayashi, Ko Murobushi, and artists from Indonesia.

From a short surviving excerpt of the performance footage, one can confirm that Yoshito Ohno danced to Schubert’s "Night and Dreams" (Nacht und Träume) wearing white trousers instead of the dress costume he usually wore for the piece.
